Receivt is a separate inbox for receipts, invoices and subscriptions, run by an agent. You get your own Receivt address and point everything that bills you at it. Your private inbox goes back to being for people.
Somewhere between a letter from a friend and a newsletter you never opened sits a hosting invoice, a phone plan and a note saying your streaming service renews tomorrow. They were never meant to share a drawer.
If you just pay for things online
You shouldn't have to scroll past your subscriptions to find your friends. Or scroll past your friends to find the one receipt you need.
If you run a company, or three
Same cards, same email, business and private costs mixed together. With a tag per company, every receipt arrives already sorted by who pays.
Every service lets you choose your password. We think every service that bills you should also let you name the address its receipts and renewal notices go to. Some already offer a separate billing email. Most still send everything to the address you signed up with.
We'd like that written down as a rule, as ordinary as the receipt a shop counter hands you: a receipt address as a standard field, offered by everyone who charges you. Until then, forwarding works fine.
Your private inbox is for people.
One address. A tag per purpose: you+personal@in.receivt.com and you+company@in.receivt.com. The tag decides who pays.
✓Mail arrives three ways. As the billing email where a service allows it, through a forwarding rule in your mail app, or forwarded by hand.
✓An agent reads every email. Receipts, invoices, refunds and subscription notices are picked out, with vendor, total, currency, date and the next renewal. Newsletters stay out of the books.
✓Every subscription on one list. Sorted into personal or the right company, with its last amount and next renewal, so you can keep, pause or cancel with the whole list in front of you.
✓Matched to the charge. Import a card statement and each receipt meets the charge that paid it, at the rate you really paid, fees included.
✓Paper gets a photo. Photograph a paper receipt and email it in. The photo is shrunk and read.
✓House rules. We won't cancel your subscriptions for you; the decision stays yours. We won't make a receipt up; when one is missing, Receivt writes a substitute from the card statement, clearly marked as your own record. And we won't let a leaked address fill the drawer: mail from unknown or unauthenticated senders is screened.
